SMALL POTATO BRIYANI/ BRIYANI RECIPE / EASY LUNCH BOX RECIPE


Small Potato briyani recipe explained with step wise pictures.

Briyani is normally taste and favorite recipe at everyone. Today i m prepared potato briyani. Potatoes is my favorite veggie its so delicious and tasty briyani. I am using small baby potato in this recipe big potato also used cut in small pies. Potatoes are marination and fry separately its give unique taste.

Ingredients


Basmati rice - 1 cup

Coconut milk - 1 cup
Water  - 1/2 cup
Curd - 1/2 cup
Oil - 1 tblsp
Ghee - 1 tblsp
Cinnamon stick 1 
Cardamom - 3 numbers
Star clove - 1
Cloves - 3
Fennel seeds - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Bay leaf -1 number
Onion - 1 thinly sliced
Tomato - 2 numbers
Green chilly - 2 slit
Red chilly powder - 2 tsp
Garam masala powder - 2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Mint and coriander leaves - small amount


Potatoes marination


Small potato - 14 numbers cook and peel off
chily powder - 1 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
Salt per taste

Cooking Instructions


  1. Cook  and peel off the potatoes and add the marinated masala mixed well set it.
  2. After 10 minutes to fried the potatoes turn the golden brown.
  3. Next to heat pressure cooker add ghee and oil.
  4. Add the seasonings 
  5. (cinnamon stick,cardamom,cumin seeds,fennel seeds,bay leaf,cloves,star cloves) saute well.
  6. Then add onion till turn golden brown add ginger garlic paste saute well.
  7. Add finely chopped tomato saute till turn mashed. Add mint and coriander leaves.
  8. Next add basmati rice.Its washed and soaked before 30 minutes and add one cup coconut milk half cup water for one cup basmati rice.
  9.  cook well after drained water that the rice and masala mixed well to turn thick consistency covered the cooker simmer in 10 minutes. (NO WHISTLE)
  10. After 10 minutes turn off. Rest in whistle then open the cooker now add fried potato and mix gently.
  11. Sprinkle the chopped coriander leaves. Its ready to serve.

Now add coriander and mint leaves

Add coconut milk and water


Add salt per taste


Basmati rice one cup



Now turn thick consistency


Covered the cooker and simmer 10 minutes (NO WHISTLE)


After 10 minutes open it


Add fried potatoes mix gently


Serve with onion raita
